Serving Youth Since 1953

For over 70 years, the Fern Creek Optimist Club has been dedicated to supporting the youth of Fern Creek (Louisville), Kentucky, and the surrounding communities. As a proud 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we strive to live out the Optimist International Creed by “Bringing Out the Best in Youth, in our Communities, and in Ourselves.”

We offer a wide range of youth sports programs throughout the year, including Jr. NBA Basketball (Summer & Winter), NFL Flag Football (Spring & Fall), and Soccer (Spring & Fall). Beyond our own leagues, we’re proud to host a variety of community sports and events, including Derby City Rossoneri Travel Soccer, JCPS Elementary Soccer Leagues, and the KY Open High School Ultimate Frisbee Tournament.
